Eco Policy
The internet has a carbon footprint, and pretending otherwise is not an option for a business that builds websites for a living. This page is what we actually do, kept deliberately free of pledges about decades we cannot see.
The sites we build are the biggest lever we have. Fast, efficient websites use less energy on every single visit, and we build for performance as standard, which means smaller pages, optimised images and no bloated plugins burning cycles for nothing. A site that loads in a second is not just better for enquiries. It is doing less work, millions of times over.
Our hosting runs on [UK data centres powered by renewable energy / provider detail TO CONFIRM]. Our hardware is [replacement and recycling policy TO CONFIRM]. Our office runs on [energy arrangement TO CONFIRM], and video calls replaced the default client drive years ago, with travel reserved for the meetings that earn it.
[Any offsetting, tree planting, cycle-to-work or similar schemes, TO CONFIRM. If none exist, cut this paragraph rather than inventing one. An eco page with three honest paragraphs beats one padded with aspiration.]
TO CONFIRM: The bracketed facts. This page only works if every sentence on it is checkably true, so where a detail does not exist, remove the sentence.
