Analytics and Search Console set up properly
A website without analytics is a shop with the lights off. You can’t tell who’s coming in, who’s leaving, or what they actually want.
Most websites we audit have Google Analytics installed and not much else. The default install gives you a fraction of what you need, and the GA4 transition broke a lot of the dashboards businesses were relying on. We set up Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console properly, with the events, conversions and dashboards you actually need to make decisions. If you’re already using GA4 but you don’t trust the numbers, we can audit and rebuild what’s there.
What we set up
- Google Analytics 4 with the right data streams, filters and retention settings.
- Custom event tracking for the pages, forms, downloads and button clicks that matter to your business.
- Conversion goals tied to actual revenue or enquiry value where possible.
- Google Tag Manager set up cleanly, with a versioned deployment process.
- Google Search Console verified for every property, with sitemap submissions and ownership shared with the right people.
- Cookie consent integration so you stay on the right side of UK GDPR.
- Looker Studio dashboards in plain English, sent to your inbox monthly.
What you get
A working analytics setup. A short written guide on what each report means and what to do with it. Optional monthly reporting for clients who’d rather not crack open Looker Studio themselves.
Not sure where the problem is?
Get a free written review of your site. We’ll tell you what’s holding it back and what we’d do first. No obligation, no follow-up sales sequence.
Three signs most installations get wrong
- Conversions counted as page views. The thank-you page is not the conversion. The form submission is.
- Internal IP addresses included in the data. Half the “traffic” on small business sites is actually the owner refreshing their own page.
- Cookie consent set up so badly that two-thirds of visitors are excluded from analytics entirely. We fix this without breaking compliance.
Common questions about improving website enquiries
Will you migrate me from Universal Analytics?
UA is dead, but we’ll rebuild your historical reporting framework in GA4 if you didn’t get a clean migration.
Do I need Google Tag Manager?
For most sites, yes. It makes future changes faster and cheaper.
How long does setup take?
Two to four working days, depending on how many events and conversions need configuring.
What does it cost?
Fixed price by site size. Most setups £600 to £1,500. Ongoing reporting from £150 a month if you’d like the dashboard delivered.
