Technical SEO

If Google can’t crawl, render and index your site cleanly, no amount of content or links will rescue you.

Technical SEO is the part most agencies skim because most clients don’t ask about it. We don’t skim it. The structural health of a website is the floor that everything else stands on. Get it right and your content has a chance. Get it wrong and you’re paying for marketing that runs into a brick wall. The list below is the typical scope of a technical SEO engagement with us, but every project starts with an audit so we can tell you which of these you actually need.

What’s typically in scope

We don’t guess, and we don’t follow a one-size-fits-all playbook. Every website and every business is different, which is why we start every engagement the same way: by understanding exactly what’s happening with your site right now.

What you get

A written report, prioritised, with code-level fixes where the problem is in the templates and editorial-level fixes where the problem is in the content. We can implement the fixes for you, brief your in-house developer, or sit alongside another agency if you’ve got one.

Three signs you’ve got a technical SEO problem you haven’t diagnosed

If any of those is happening, the audit will find it and the report will tell you in plain English where to start.

Common questions about technical SEO

How long does a technical audit take?

Two to three weeks from brief to written report.

Will you implement the fixes or just hand me the list?

Either. We can do the work, brief your developer, or work alongside an existing agency.

Do you re-check after fixes?

Yes. Every audit includes a re-check at sixty days, included in the price.

What does it cost?

Fixed quote based on site size. A small site, around £1,200. A mid-market site, £2,400 to £4,800. A complex multi-site or ecommerce build, £6,000 upwards. Charity rate available.
