Website audits

Before you spend money fixing your website, find out what’s actually wrong with it.

A website audit is the cheapest, smartest first step before any project. It tells you where you stand, what’s working, what’s broken, and what would give you the biggest return on the next pound you spend. We’ve been running audits for over twenty years, and we’ve refined a process that is rigorous enough to be useful, fast enough to be affordable, and short enough that you’ll actually read it.

What’s in a Clickingmad audit

Audit deliverables

You get a written report, scored, with a one-page executive summary. A prioritised action plan split into “fix this month”, “fix this quarter”, and “watch and revisit”. And an estimate from us if you’d like us to implement the fixes, with no pressure to do so.

Two to three weeks from brief to report, depending on the size of the site.

Free for UK-registered charities under the community programme.

Common questions about website audits

How quickly will I see results?

It depends on what’s needed. Some changes have an immediate impact – particularly conversion and usability improvements like simplifying your enquiry form, fixing mobile layout issues, or improving page load speed. You can often see a measurable difference within days of these changes going live. SEO work takes longer.

Google needs time to recrawl your site and reassess your authority. Realistically, expect three to six months for significant movement in search rankings, though we typically see early indicators of progress within the first month or two. We’ll set clear expectations from the start.
